Working from home is the dream of millions who commute to their job every day. Fortunately, lucrative opportunities abound — especially for those with a lot of education and experience.
Recently, FlexJobs — a jobs board that specializes in openings for remote and other flexible positions — compiled a list of 26 work-from-home jobs that pay $100,000 or more. These positions fall under eight career categories, and were based on salary ranges from PayScale:
Project/product manager jobs
Sales and business development jobs
Software developer jobs
Marketing jobs
Computer security jobs
Medical jobs
Computer and IT jobs
Engineering jobs
Now that you know about some of the best-paying positions, it’s time to find companies that are hiring for work-from-home roles. You’ll find a list in “The Top 15 Companies Hiring for Fully Remote Jobs.”
If you find a great remote gig, you’ll need to prepare for working from home. Kathy Kristof — a former Los Angeles Times financial journalist — has worked at home for 30 years, and she has found a great balance between working and parenting.

“This allowed her to mesh parenthood with career, to the point of being able to volunteer at her children’s school. But this was possible only because she held specific work hours — in a home office with the door shut. When her children were small, she hired a nanny.
Anyone who plans to work at home also needs to create productive work routines, Kristof says.”
