Joining the Amazon Associates affiliate program allows users to promote and sell Amazon products on their own websites or blogs. Amazon offers many promotional tools to help associates promote products, including contextual affiliate product links that automatically match ads to website content. Associates can also link directly to specific products on Amazon by using the site’s product search tool and copying and pasting the product’s affiliate link code.
Log in to your Amazon Associates account. This opens your Associates Central home page.
Click the "Links and Banners" tab in the top navigation menu. Select "Product Links" from the drop-down menu.
Type the name of the product you seek into the input field under "Search for Any Product" at the top of the page. Click the "Go" button.
Scroll through the displayed list of products that contain the product name you entered in the previous step. Amazon shows a thumbnail image and description of the product to help you find specific products quickly.
Click the "Get Link" button beside the product that you want to promote. Highlight and copy the Hypertext Markup Language code in the field under "Get HTML Code for This Product Link."
Open the Web page on which you want to include the link in your usual HTML editor, Web coding and design program or a plain text editing tool.
Scroll to the correct position on the page for the Amazon product link. Paste the code you copied in Step 5 onto the page.
Save the edited Web page and upload it to your website server.
