The brilliant brains at Spitfire Audio have done it again. The Electric Guitars LABS plugin gives you every guitar sound you could wish for, from indie pop to classic rock – and it’s available for nothing.
LABS is a series of free software instruments, being added to all the time, and the electric guitar samples are the latest addition. The collection is curated by engineers and guitarists Dino Pollano, Keith Theodosiou and Leo Wyatt.
Like all the Spitfire Audio plugins, the guitar VST is easy to use.
The LABS instruments look and sound so impressive, there must be a catch. The thing is – there isn’t one. The whole library is available for free; check it out here. Spitfire Audio want to remove the barriers of music production, so everyone can have a go regardless of their financial situation or producing skill.
All the LABS instruments work from the same plugin – you need to make an account and download the Spitfire Audio App to install it, but that’s free too. The plugin is compatible with all major DAWs.
Electric Guitars collection is available in VST2, VST3, AAX and AU formats.
